闰年。
这是个描述时间的英文术语。其字面意思是“跃年”，源于leap表示跳跃或突进的动作。而之所以后来用这个短语表示闰年，则要追溯到古英语时期。因为闰年其实就是在日历上引入了额外的一天，当时人们觉得这是日历的一种"跳跃"，于是这个术语一直沿用至今。如果是想表示平年，可以直接用common year，毕竟平年代表着就是普普通通嘛。
值得一提的是，2024年也是闰年哦，那你知道闰年的计算规则吗：
能够被4整除的年份是闰年，但能够被100整除的年份不是闰年，除非能够被400整除的年份仍然是闰年。例如，1900年是不能被4整除的，所以它不是闰年。但是2000年能被400整除，所以它是闰年。
A leap year, also known as an intercalary or bissextile year, occurs every four years to keep our calendar in sync with the Earth's orbit around the Sun. It adds an extra day, February 29th, to the calendar year. This adjustment accounts for the fact that a complete orbit takes approximately 365.25 days.
