01 curse/cuss sb out
非正式口语用，主要是美式英语，表示to swear and shout at someone because you are angry，生气地大声骂人，咒骂，骂得很激烈很难听。
curse /kɜːs $ kɜːrs/ 动词，表示说粗俗难听的话，咒骂，美式口语里也有把curse说成cuss /kʌs/的，在表示“咒骂”的时候curse和cuss可以互相替换。
curse还可以表示“诅咒，下咒”，表示这个含义时就不会说成cuss。
He accidentally spilled coffee on her laptop, and she cursed him out in front of everyone.
他不小心把咖啡洒在了她的笔记本电脑上，她当着所有人的面臭骂了他一顿。
I heard him cussing out his neighbor yesterday—it was so loud the whole street could hear.

02 call sb names
表示to use unpleasant words to describe someone in order to insult or upset them，用难听的词来指代/形容某人，骂人，这种行为名词叫name-calling。
给人起不好的外号，或者不起外号但是用难听的词来说某人 (比如sb is an idiot) 都算name-calling。
Some of the kids called him names and made fun of him for wearing glasses.
有些孩子给他起外号，嘲笑他戴眼镜。
It's rude to call people names, even if you're joking.
用难听的话说别人是很不礼貌的，哪怕只是在开玩笑。
！这是个俚语，固定表达，names要用复数，sb不加's，和call sb's name (大声叫某人的名字) 区分开：
I saw her and called her name, but she didn't turn around.
我看到了她，喊她名字，但她没回头。
03 call sb + 名词或形容词
和上一个短语类似，call在这里的意思是describe，用某个词来形容某人，如果是褒义词就是“夸赞”，贬义词就是“骂人”。
The kids at school called her fat and ugly.
学校里的孩子骂她又胖又丑。
They called me a coward because I didn't want to take any risks.
他们骂我是胆小鬼，因为我不想冒任何风险。
He called me a genius for solving the problem!
我解决了问题，他夸我是天才！
04 swear at sb
swear /sweə $ swer/，动词，表示to use words that are rude or offensive，说不礼貌的话、脏话。swear at sb，对某人说脏话，辱骂某人。
注意swear的过去时和过去分词是swore /swɔː(r)/, sworn /swɔː(r)n/。
He got fired for swearing at the manager.
他因为用脏话骂经理被炒了。
Don't swear at me! This is your fault.
别骂我！这是你的错。
05 insult sb
这一篇里相对书面/正式的表达，insult /ɪn'sʌlt/ 动词，表示to say or do something that offends somebody，侮辱、冒犯某人。
insult也可以作名词，表示“侮辱冒犯人的话/举动”，注意名词时重音在前，/'ɪnsʌlt/。
make an insult about sth，针对某事说一些侮辱的话；shout insults at sb，对某人大声说侮辱的话，辱骂某人。
前边01-04的辱骂都是直接说难听话或脏话，而insult sb的时候可以骂脏话，也可以很“文明” (比如“他拉低了整条街的智商”，或者说阴阳怪气的话)，所以insult sb适用范围更广。
Come on, don't insult each other—it won't solve anything.
拜托，不要互相骂来骂去，这又解决不了问题。
It's unprofessional to insult your teammates, even if you're frustrated.
