-01- careful with money
“花钱很小心”，表示not spending more money than you need to，不乱花钱，形容花钱有规划、务实理智的消费习惯。

-02- thrifty
/'θrɪfti/ 形容词，表示using money carefully and wisely，especially by avoiding waste，花钱谨慎、理智，节俭不浪费。
Thrifty people are creative with what they've got; my friend even turned old cardboard boxes into bookshelves instead of buying new furniture.
节俭的人很会利用自己现有的东西，我朋友甚至把旧纸板箱改造成书架，就不用买新家具。
My friend is so thrifty that she always buys clothes off-season when they're on clearance.
我朋友很节俭，她经常在反季清仓时买衣服。
-03- frugal
/'fruːɡl/ 形容词，表示careful to use only as much money, food, etc. as is necessary，花钱的时候考虑品质和性价比，不该多花的钱不花，用不上的东西不买。
frugal和thrifty是近义词，经常互换使用，细微区别是frugal的人不一定不买高价的东西，他们会考虑质量和性价比是否值得；
而thrifty的人相对更关注价格，他们可能会等打折再买或者用优惠券等各种方式省钱，而且thrifty的人花钱很聪明也很会利用资源，比如说在二手市场淘好货，或者自己动手改衣服、旧物改造重新利用等等。
Frugal people often go for quality items that last. My mom, for example, would rather buy one good coat that'll last ten years than something cheap every season.
节约的人经常买品质好且耐用的东西。比如我妈，她会买一件能穿十年的高品质大衣，而不是每季都买便宜衣服。
She's very frugal. She doesn't eat out much, but she'll spend on fresh ingredients to make healthy meals at home.
