·1. out of/from the corner of my eye·
习语，If you see something out of/from the corner of your eye, you see it but not clearly because it happens to the side of you，东西在你的侧面，余光能看见但看不清晰。这个短语经常用在口语和非正式语境，比如在给别人讲故事，讲述自己的经历等。
余光看到的都是外眼角 (outer corner of the eye) 那一侧，内眼角叫inner corner of the eye。眼皮叫eyelids /'aɪlɪds/，简称lids，眼睫毛是eyelashes /'aɪlæʃɪz/，简称lashes。

peripheral vision /'vɪʒən/ 表示your ability to see things to the side of you when you look straight ahead，眼睛直视前方时能看见视线以外的东西的能力，周边视觉。这个说法比第一个表达更加书面和正式。
例：I kept him in my peripheral vision, watching him chat and laugh with his friends from across the room.
