·1. My stomach is growling.·
growl /ɡraʊl/ 动词，if an animal growls, it makes a long deep angry sound, 动物发怒的时候发出低沉的声音，最常见的就是狗生气时冲着人发出的那种恐吓的声音。常用搭配是growl at sb。
例：My neighbor's dog growls at anyone who walks by, but it rarely barks.
我邻居家的狗对所有路过的人都会低吼，但它很少叫。

grumble /'ɡrʌmbl/ 动词，最常用的含义是to keep complaining in an unhappy way，一直在抱怨，不停地发牢骚，尤其是抱怨一些不太严重的事情。常用搭配grumble about sth。
例：There's no point in grumbling about the hotel. We're only here for one night.
没必要老是吐槽这酒店，我们就只住一晚。There's no point in doing sth表示it is useless or pointless to do something，做某事没有用，没有意义。说到酒店，旅游的时候“住酒店”是stay at a hotel，不是live in a hotel，stay表示游客等在一个地方短暂停留居住，而live是长期居住。
grumble也可以表示to make a low continuous sound，发出一段低沉的声音，比如说雷声，或者肚子咕咕叫。
例：Thunder grumbled in the sky.
雷声轰隆隆地响。thunder /ˈθʌndə(r)/ 不可数名词，“雷声”。低沉轰隆隆的雷声不太吓人，可怕的是那种很响亮、听起来距离很近的雷，中文用“炸响”或者“霹雳”形容的那种雷声，可以说Thunder crashed in the sky.
例：My stomach's grumbling. I haven't eaten all day. I could eat a horse.
我肚子咕咕叫，一整天都没吃东西了，现在多少东西我都吃得下。I could eat a horse是习语，表示I'm very hungry，是一个幽默的说法。
例：My stomach is grumbling louder than my alarm clock. Let's stop for a quick meal.
我肚子叫得比闹钟还响，我们停下来吃点东西吧。

/'rʌmbl/ 动词，表示to make a continuous low sound，持续发出低沉的声音，和grumble是近义词，同样可以搭配雷声和肚子，也经常搭配轮子和机器，比如说卡车的车轮隆隆滚过地面，或者洗衣机脱水模式结束之后，滚筒停转之前隆隆响。
例：We could hear thunder rumbling in the distance.
我们能听到远处隆隆的雷声。
例：We watched the truck rumbling past the window.
我们看着卡车从窗外隆隆驶过。
例：My stomach is rumbling so much that I can't concentrate on anything.
