·1. catch some sun/rays·
sun除了表示“太阳” (the sun或者the Sun)，也可以表示the light and heat from the sun，太阳的光和热，阳光。
ray /reɪ/ 名词，a straight narrow beam of light from the sun or moon，阳光月光等光线。
catch some sun/rays类似于固定短语，用于口语和非正式语境，表示to stay outside in the sun for a period of time，去晒一会儿太阳，也可以说get some sun。
例：The sun's out! Let's go for a walk and get some sun.
出太阳了！我们出去散个步，晒晒太阳吧。
例：It rained for a week. When the sun finally came out, we headed to the park to catch some rays.
下了一星期雨，终于出太阳的时候，我们去了公园晒太阳。
·2. bask in the sun·
bask /bɑːsk/ /bæsk/ 不及物动词，表示to enjoy sitting or lying in the heat of the sun or a fire，很享受地躺着或者坐着取暖，后边经常加太阳或者火堆等会发光发热的东西。
晒太阳：bask in the sun。bask可以换成更具体的动词，sit/lie in the sun。sun换成sunshine /'sʌnʃaɪn/ 也可以。
例：My cat was basking in the afternoon sun by the window.
我的猫在窗边晒着午后的阳光。
例：In winter, my grandma loved to bask in the sun on the balcony and doze in her chair.
冬天的时候，我奶奶喜欢在阳台晒太阳，坐在椅子上打瞌睡。
·3. soak up the sun·
soak /səʊk/ 动词，表示to put something in liquid for a time so that it becomes completely wet，把东西泡到水里浸湿，比如放一块海绵到一杯水里。
海绵吸水这个动作叫soak up the water，这是soak up最常用的含义，to take in and hold liquid，吸收液体。
soak up还可以表示to experience something good or pleasant with your senses, your body or your mind，用身心去充分体验、享受一些美好愉悦的东西 (有点像“吸收”的比喻义)。
常用搭配soak up the sun，soak up the atmosphere (/'ætməsfɪə(r)/ 气氛，氛围，情调)，soak up换成enjoy也可以。
例：When the weather is warm, I love to lie on the beach, soak up the sun and listen to the waves.
天气暖和的时候，我喜欢躺在沙滩上，晒着太阳听海浪的声音。
例：We spent a lazy afternoon by the pool, enjoying the sunshine.
我们在泳池边度过了一个慵懒的下午，享受阳光。
例：You can find a cozy café by the river, grab a coffee, and soak up the atmosphere.
你可以在河边找一家舒适的咖啡馆，买杯咖啡，享受那种氛围感。
·4. sunbathe·
bathe /beɪð/ 动词，“洗澡”；sunbathe /'sʌnbeɪð/ 不及物动词，表示to sit or lie in the sun, especially in order to go brown，日光浴，一般指人为了把皮肤晒成小麦色而去晒太阳，常见于泳池和海滩，和我们冬天晒太阳取暖不太一样。
例：If you don't wear sunscreen while sunbathing, you might end up with a bad sunburn.
如果日光浴时不涂防晒霜，可能会严重晒伤。防晒霜、防晒油英语可以说sunscreen /'sʌnskriːn/，或者sunblock /'sʌnblɒk/ /'sʌnblɑːk/。sunburn /ˈsʌnbɜː(r)n/ 名词，“晒伤”，英式英语里常用作不可数名词，美式英语里常用作可数。
例：I spent most of the time sunbathing on the beach. By the end of the trip, I got a nice tan.
我大部分时间都在海滩上晒太阳。旅行结束时，皮肤晒出了很好看的小麦色。
tan /tæn/ 名词，表示the attractive brown colour that someone with pale skin gets after they have been in the sun，“晒黑”，或者说“美黑”准确一点，中文说的“晒黑”经常不是件好事，很多人觉得皮肤白一点好看，而英文里的tan经常是褒义词，有些白人为了get a tan，会特意去晒日光浴或者晒美黑灯。
