·1. 跷二郎腿：cross one's legs·
cross /krɒs/ /krɔːs/ 动词，最基本的含义是to go across; to pass or stretch from one side to the other，从一边到另一边去，比如说cross the road，过马路，cross the river，过河。
如果两个东西cross each other，互相穿过，“交叉”，跷二郎腿这个动作可以说cross your legs，if you cross your legs, you put one on top of the other。
如果是说跷二郎腿坐着这个状态，可以说sit with your legs crossed。
例：He crossed his legs and leaned back in the chair, waiting for the meeting to start.
他翘起二郎腿，靠在椅背上，等着会议开始。lean /liːn/ 动词，表示to bend or move from a straight position to a sloping position, to rest on or against something for support，倾斜，倚靠。
例：Sitting with your legs crossed for too long isn't good for your spine.
长时间跷二郎腿对脊椎不好。
例：I sat with my legs crossed for too long and my leg fell asleep.
我跷着二郎腿太久，有条腿麻了。
▶ 如果是双手在身前交叉，可以说cross your arms (in front of your, over your chest)，with your arms crossed。
例：He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, waiting for his friend.
他双手交叉在胸前，倚着墙，等朋友来。
例：Don't cross your arms over your chest in the interview; it might make you seem defensive.
面试时不要双手交叉在胸前，这会让人觉得你很有防备心。
·2. 盘腿坐：cross-legged·
cross-legged /ˌkrɒs'leɡ(ɪ)d/ /ˌkrɔːs'leɡ(ɪ)d/ 形容词或副词，牛津词典的解释是sitting on the floor with your legs pulled up in front of you and with one leg or foot over the other，坐在地上，两条腿或者两只脚交叉；
朗文词典的解释是in a sitting position with your knees wide apart and one foot on top of the other，两条脚交叉并且膝盖是分开的，所以cross-legged是盘腿坐。
我查了外网一些讨论，也用这两个短语在谷歌搜图片，虽然有些人也用cross-legged来表示跷二郎腿，但是总的来说cross-legged表示盘腿坐比较多。
▶ 如果想完全避免歧义，可以加上坐的位置，比如说sit cross-legged on the floor/grass，坐在地上/草地上一般都是盘腿坐，没办法跷二郎腿。
例：He sat cross-legged on the floor, reading a book.
他盘腿坐在地板上看书。
例：The yoga instructor asked us to sit cross-legged and focus on our breathing.
瑜伽教练让我们盘腿而坐，专注呼吸。
